Scalable Flexible Programs/Courses

Effective Presentations

Deliver clear, concise, persuasive presentations in formal and informal settings. Learn to structure a compelling message, engage an audience, use slides with purpose, respond effectively to questions, and present with confidence.

Participants develop and deliver a presentation based on a real business topic, with opportunities to practice short speaking skills and receive detailed feedback.

Candidates will learn to:

  • organize ideas around a clear purpose and audience
  • develop persuasive stories and key messages
  • create purposeful, memorable visual support
  • manage nerves and project confidence
  • use voice, body language, eye contact, and questions effectively.

Effective Business Writing

Write business communications that are clear, concise, audience-appropriate, and action-oriented. This course strengthens writing for email, reports, proposals, marketing communications, and other professional contexts.

Participants learn how to simplify complex ideas, eliminate jargon and unnecessary language, choose the right tone and medium, and edit for clarity and impact.

English Conversation for International Students

Build fluency and confidence in conversational English through structured, supportive practice. Participants discuss current business, technology, and cultural topics while developing the skills to ask clarifying questions, contribute ideas, agree and disagree professionally, and participate effectively in workplace conversations.

Pronunciation Workshop

In today’s globalized workplace, clear pronunciation and vocal presence are not just language skills—they are critical leadership assets. Mumbling, incorrect syllable stress, or unclear articulation can create cognitive fatigue for listeners, obscure brilliant ideas, and undermine executive authority during client pitches, board meetings, and virtual town halls.

This intensive, highly practical workshop focuses on clarity over accent elimination. The goal is not to sound native, but to achieve effortless intelligibility, precise articulation, and authoritative vocal projection. Participants will learn how to identify their specific pronunciation blind spots, master international business vocabulary, leverage English speech rhythm and stress patterns, and speak with authentic confidence in any high-stakes business setting.

Writing Resumes and Cover Letters

Writing a great resume does not necessarily mean you should follow the rules you hear through the grapevine. It does not have to be one page or follow a specific resume format. Every resume is a one-of-a-kind marketing communication. It should be appropriate to your situation and do exactly what you want it to do. Instead of a bunch of rules and tips, we are going to cut to the chase in this course and offer you the most basic principles of writing a highly effective resume.

Business Negotiating and Conflict Resolution

Meeting/Group Facilitation

Turn meetings into productive working sessions. Learn how to choose the right meeting format, set clear objectives, invite the right participants, guide constructive discussion, manage difficult dynamics, and achieve follow-through in in-person, virtual, and hybrid settings.

Participants practice leading a group discussion and receive peer, self, and instructor feedback.

English Pathway Programs

For groups of 15 or more, GIIM can design a tailored English and Business Communications pathway that combines relevant elements from the courses above. Programs can be aligned to participants’ current proficiency, job roles, industry, business priorities, and preparation needs for GIIM coursework.

AI-Enhanced Business Communications

AI is changing how professionals draft, refine, research, present, and personalize communications. This course helps participants use AI as a thoughtful assistant while retaining human judgment, accountability, and authenticity.

Topics may include:

– using AI to improve drafts, summaries, and reports;
– developing presentations and visual storylines;
– tailoring messages for different stakeholders and channels;
– strengthening resumes, cover letters, and professional profiles;
– refining verbal and written communication strategies; and
– recognizing the risks of inaccuracy (including Zero Trust/data-handling practices), bias, confidentiality breaches, and overreliance.

The goal is not simply faster output. It is clearer, more responsible, and more effective communication.

Inclusive Communication Is Embedded Throughout

Effective leaders adapt their communication to diverse audiences and working styles. GIIM integrates inclusive communication considerations throughout its programs, including cultural background, language, gender, ability, neurodiversity, educational background, and professional context.

Participants learn practical approaches to reduce misunderstanding, encourage participation, and strengthen collaboration.
